MacDonald Hoague & Bayless: Civil Rights Litigation Fellow
Entering its eighth decade defending people’s rights, MacDonald Hoague & Bayless is accepting applications for its third a two-year civil rights litigation Fellowship for lawyers at the beginning of their careers. Named in honor of MHB founder Alec Bayless, this Fellowship will begin in September 2022 and will provide an opportunity to participate fully in all aspects of MHB’s Seattle-based civil rights practice—representing victims of police and prosecutorial misconduct; workplace injustice; race, gender or disability discrimination; inhumane prison conditions; housing discrimination; and others harmed by government or corporate wrongdoing.
This position is intended for new law school graduates or recent graduates finishing a judicial clerkship. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited law school and have taken a state bar exam by September 2022. Applicants should have excellent research, writing and advocacy skills, and experience in, or a demonstrated passion for, civil rights or employment law. Pay: $70,000 per year, plus benefits, and possible relocation assistance.
